BioUnlock is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, usage analytics, or telemetry. All processing happens entirely on your local macOS device.
BioUnlock utilizes Apple's LocalAuthentication framework to request Touch ID or Apple Watch authentication. Your biometric data never leaves your device's Secure Enclave and is completely inaccessible to BioUnlock, its developers, or any third party.
The app requires accessibility/automation permissions solely to monitor the foreground application state and apply the lock screen. This data is observed in real-time in memory and is never logged or saved to disk.
Transactions for BioUnlock Pro are processed securely by Apple via the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information.
